Shell Intilaaqah Egypt Program
Flat6Labs and Shell have joined forces to launch the Shell Intilaaqah Egypt Program, dedicated to nurturing entrepreneurial talent and driving innovation in Egypt. This program is designed to empower aspiring entrepreneurs by providing them with the necessary skills, resources, and mentorship to transform their innovative ideas into successful businesses.
The program focuses on sustainable industries, including renewable energy, transportation and logistics, waste management, agriculture technology, smart cities, and sustainable alternatives.
WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE APPLYING
Shell Intilaaqah Egypt Program aims to support early-stage entrepreneurs who are interested in sustainable industries, such as renewable energy, transportation and logistics, waste management, agriculture technology, smart cities, and sustainable alternatives.
This comprehensive program covers various aspects of entrepreneurship, from ideation and business modeling to marketing and financial management, running different cycles in Cairo, Alexandria, and Beheira.
It consists of two tracks: “Bright Ideas Session” and “Pre-Accelerator Bootcamps”.
Bright Ideas Sessions
This is a one-day workshop that targets students and fresh graduates who are interested in learning more about the world of entrepreneurship.
During this session, participants will engage in activities that are crafted to guide them through critical aspects of startup development. From identifying significant market problems to refining
solutions and developing robust business models, our goal is to equip entrepreneurs with the necessary tools and insights to succeed.
By the end of the session, participants will be better prepared to present their business ideas convincingly and move forward in their entrepreneurial journey.
No prior entrepreneurial experience is required to attend the workshop. Entrepreneurs can attend the Idea Workshop as preparation for applying to the Bootcamp.
Pre-Accelerator Bootcamps
The Pre-Accelerator Bootcamps aim to provide advanced entrepreneurial resources for startups with at least a Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
It includes a 5-day interactive training on financial modeling, customer discovery, startup strategy, marketing, cash flow management, pitching techniques, and more.
The top startups from the Bootcamps will be selected to pitch their ideas in the Demo Day, and will be qualified to participate in the regional accelerator program.
Bootcamp Selection Criteria
- Age: 21 to 35 years
- The idea should have the potential for scalability and a positive impact on society or the environment.
- The team should be committed to attending the Bootcamp in Cairo, Alexandria, or Beheira governorates.

OPEN APPLICATIONS
Applications are open for interested startups to apply to join the program through the online application available on our website and social media channels.
FILTRATION AND INTERVIEWS
For applicants to the Bright Ideas sessions, no interviews will be required, as anyone will be welcomed to join. However, top applicants to the bootcamp will be contacted by our team to undergo an interview where they present their ideas and progress to date.
SESSIONS & BOOTCAMPS
Bright Ideas Sessions and Bootcamps will run around six cycles in Cairo, Alexandria, and Beheira, with an average of one session and one bootcamp per month. Applicants of the Bright Ideas Sessions will also have the opportunity to apply for the Bootcamps and continue the program's journey.
DEMO DAY
The Demo Day marks the grand finale of the six intensive bootcamps, bringing together the top 30 participants to pitch their ideas, compete for a prize, and gain valuable exposure to investors and secure a spot in the regional accelerator.
Regional Accelerator
The regional accelerator will empower the top 15 startups selected from the bootcamps by providing mentorship, resources, and strategic support to help them refine their business models, scale their solutions, and achieve sustainable growth.
Acceleration Ceremony
This ceremony celebrates the culmination of the program, following an intense journey of mentorship, training, and business advisory. The top 15 startups showcase their progress to the wider ecosystem and are presented with potential financing opportunities.
